We had rabbits and lions dancing at Chinatown Gate (Minh Quang Lion Dance was awesome)!! We gave away all of our 200 “hong baos” (red envelopes with gold chocolate coins)!! We were so honored that over 20 Chinatown elders joined us for the celebration (thank you!!).

Join us this Saturday morning at 10-11am for “Chinese New Year at Chinatown Gate”, on NW 4th Ave. between Burnside & Couch streets.
We will be having several historic gatherings and group photo shoots in front of the Chinatown Gate:
9:30am-elders who grew up in Chinatown
10am-lion dance
10:30am-people with Chinese heritage and everyone at the event
10:45am-people in rabbit costumes and then a costume contest for kids & adults.
